Coles Ferry's Principal

Dr. Michelle Lowery is beginning her 3rd year as Principal of Coles Ferry Elementary. She served as Assistant Principal for 12 years at Coles Ferry. Before administration, Dr. Lowery was a Learning Leader at Byars Dowdy for one year and a 3rd grade teacher for 13 years. 

 

Dr. Michelle Lowery received her teacher and administration training at Middle Tennessee State University. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in K-8 Interdisciplinary Studies, Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, and Educational Specialist Degree in Administration and Leadership. In 2020, Dr. Lowery received her Doctorate in Education from MTSU's ALSI (Assessment Learning & School Improvement Program). As a first-generation college student, Dr. Lowery is committed to serving the Coles Ferry community and providing a high-quality educational experience in an engaging, supportive environment for all students. 

 

Dr. Michelle Lowery has been married to Steven for 28 years and has twin sons, Spencer and Avery. In her free time, she enjoys reading, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.
